The Junior Chamber International (JCI), University of Ibadan (UI) chapter, has called on well-meaning Nigerians to use the 2015 general election to bring an end to bad governance in Nigeria by electing credible candidates into various political offices.
The call was made at the 26th Annual Tunde Oshobi Public Forum held on January 9, 2015 at the Conference Centre of the university. The programme had the theme: ‘The Nigeria of our Dream: 2015 Elections as a Case Study.’
Speaking at the event, the president, JCI, UI, Ogunmuko Tolulope, pointed out that the choice of the topic was tailored towards giving everyone an insight to how the 2015 elections have a direct effect on Nigeria’s dream as a country.
The guest lecturer, Dr Fola Akinosun, an educationist, who is also the flag bearer of the Oyo South Senatorial candidate under Social Democratic Party (SDP), revealed that Nigeria is well positioned, blessed with human and natural resources, and has the capacity to be like China and the United States.
